This was the first song I ever wrote and was inspired by seeing a arrogant, egocentric rap artist (can't remember the name but he's but he's a sort of minor success) on a drunken night out. The song however isn't really about him specifically, more general about arrogant pop stars who achieve success more through looks than talent.
lyrics
behold the man who's captured the limelight
and with luck he played all his cards right
he didn't need to play no guitar
vanity and arrogance have got him this far
with his fame he can rake in the dough
because he knows how to put on a show
he bathes himself in the light of his wealth
showing no one can love him like he loves himself
CHORUS
He's got the money got the girls
He's most famous round the world
He lives his life on the sun
Always pissing down on everyone
He would be god if he could
He's made an art of looking good
He's knows he's damn hot as more cash fills the pot
But there's one thing he ain't got...
Strutting round the stage like a peacock on weed
He doesn't bother to keep to the speed
He doesn't need to know how to sing
He's got his big ring bling and his ding a ling
With his stylist he knows he looks swank
And it doesn't matter that his music is W**k
As his sex symbol status will be set in stone
When he gives a blowjob to his microphone
CHORUS
He's got the money got the girls
He's most famous round the world
He lives his life on the sun
Always pissing down on everyone
He would be god if he could
He's made an art of looking good
He's knows he's damn hot as more cash fills the pot
But there's one thing he ain't got... and that's talent
