This song was directly inspired by a group of high ranking bankers appeals to the government shortly after it was announced that the government were planning to cut the bankers bonuses in half. This is merely a draft demo version so apologies for the poor mixing.
lyrics
Someone get a gun and shot my alarm clock
I think I've earned some peace for F*@$ sake
I've had my share of selling our best stock
And after all this I've earned the break
But no and after morning tea I find
My mail loaded with spam
And then on my ritual journey I find
Another traffic jam
CHORUS
Reasons to be cheerful
Cos who says life ain't fun
I got so many reason to be cheerful but this ain't one
Something went wrong and now the laptop is messed
and It's baffling the slackers down at IT
How can they ever even claim to be stressed
When It's obvious they don't work half as much as me
Unlike them I have to pull my weight
Just for just for the company
I don't care if they don't have my estates
My private helicopter and my four Ferraris
CHORUS
Reasons to be cheerful
Cos who says life ain't fun
I got so many reason to be cheerful but this ain't one
So what if I'm to blame for causing the credit crash
We're all in this together you and me
And now my millions don't make such a splash
And yet no one seems to give a damn about me
And now you want my bonus as well
Just for just for my little mistake
I don't see why I should be put through hell
Just for the scroungers of society's sake
CHORUS
Reasons to be grateful
Cos we all know I've bin shunned
I guess I'll take my bonus from your pension funds
Reasons to be cheerful
Reasons to be cheerful I just found one
Reasons to be cheerful I just found one
